Replica of a Gispen ladies' armchair (Model 408) in Sonneveld House in Rotterdam. The armchair was initially placed in the sitting room (near the sofa) in 2001. After the original armchair was acquired in 2015, this relic was reupholstered and moved to daughter Gesine's bedroom in 2017. This Gispen replica armchair concerns a low, sprung and backless armchair with Gisolite armrests. Models 407 (for men) and 408 (for women) were first used in Sonneveld House and included in Gispen's catalog in 1934. The model designed prior to this, the Gispen 7c, had been made especially for Sonneveld House. The replica was made from existing models and photographs.
