Typewriter in case
Portable Remington typewriter belonging to Mr. A.H. Sonneveld, on his desk in the library of Sonneveld House. This typewriter, in case, Mr. Sonneveld bought for $60 in the United States. Until 1927, the first model of the Remington Portable was only available in black. House Sonneveld was completed in 1933 and was built for the Sonneveld family to a design by the architectural firm Brinkman and Van der Vlugt. They were also responsible for the interior, working closely with W.H. Gispen.
