The design for the residence of the Dutch ambassador in Copenhagen is projected along an avenue of linden trees. The avenue with the adjacent villas is stately, but once on the grounds of the residence the atmosphere becomes rather rural. The garden with its characteristic, old trees is designed in close connection with the villa. The villa is at the center of the garden; grouped around it are the terrace, the driveway, the water feature and the leaf garden. All these elements are directly connected to each other, as they slide into each other, so to speak. Due to the large amount of glass in the facades, inside and outside are closely connected. Moreover, a continuous experience of space is created from within the villa. The spaciousness in the interior is further enhanced by a composition of white walls and sliding panels. The residence is not only used for living but also for receptions and dinners. For this reason, the first floor of the villa is remarkably large, where the central space is formed by the hall. The first floor also houses the staff quarters, which form their own domain within the residence. Similarly, the ambassador's private area can also be seen as a house within the house. This part is located on the first floor. The villa is colored by the use of natural materials and their contrasts relative to each other. The spaciousness gives the residence the appropriate chic look. The project was not realized.
