Model for the chancellery at Maputo in Mozambique. In the African city of Maputo, right on the coast is the new Dutch embassy to Mozambique, realized by Claus and Kaan Architects. It is an extraordinary building, designed from a Dutch vision and built with African resources. The use of local materials and techniques led to inventive solutions and new insights, giving the embassy a characteristic African-Dutch atmosphere, but also a working environment that meets Dutch standards. The project was realized in 2004.
