Dining table chair for Amsterdam residence. This chair was part of a piece of furniture consisting of a table and nine chairs. Chair with stile and batten work of clear oak, with mortise and tenon joints, the back uprights of which extend above the plane of the backrest. The upper part of these uprights is tapered. The back rail of the seat is recessed into the back posts. the legs are connected at the bottom by mortises. The wooden parts are all rectangular in cross-section, which facilitates machine production. The seat is upholstered, slightly raised, with a dark gray, soft fabric. This chair was part of an amiture, consisting of a table and nine chairs.
