Presentation maquette City Hall Lelystad
The presentation maquette for City Office Lelystad concerns an energy-efficient design created as part of a multiple assignment. It consists entirely of energetic self-sufficiency. The roof consists of parabolic solar collectors and seasonal heat storage in the ground. In doing so, the city office could store and release heat to other buildings in Lelystad's city center. The architecture on the outside is characterized by vegetated facades, among other things.
This design for the city office was not implemented. However, in 2012 the self-sufficient City Office was built in glass as the Exposition greenhouse Villa Flora at Floriade 2012 in Venlo.
