Born 16.05.1886 in Ulm. Died 17.11.1965 in Zurich. Initially trained in his father's carpentry business. 1905-1910 Baugewerbeschule in Stuttgart (later Staatsbauschule) under Clemens Hummel. He works in Hummel's office from 1910-1915, from 1915-19120 he works with Pfeiffer. From 1920 he works independently, initially in Obertürkheim, from 1933 in Stuttgart. In 1935 he moves to Zurich. Only in 1960 does he open another office in Stuttgart.
