Bonatz, Paul Michael Nikolaus
Born 06.12.1877 in Solgne (near Metz). Died 20.12.1956 in Stuttgart. Trained in Munich with Theodor Fischer, with whom he also joins the Munich Stadtbauamt. Later becomes his assistant at the TH in Stuttgart (1902-06).
In 1908 he succeeds Fischer as professor in Stuttgart (until 1943).
From 1910 cooperation with Friedrich Eugen Scholer.
From 1939 to 1943 he collaborated with Albert Speer.
Study trips to Italy (1900), southern Italy (1901), Silesia (1911), Egypt (1913), Constantinople (1916), Stockholm (1924), Spain 1925), Istanbul, Athens, Venice (1927), Turkey (1955).
