Holzmeister was born March 27, 1883 at Fulpmes(Tyrol Austria). He died on June 12, 1983 in Salzburg. From 1907-1913, Clemens studied architecture at the TH in Vienna. He had his own office in various places. In Vienna from 1919-1938 and from 1949-1974. In the intervening years his office was located in Tarabya and Istanbul. From 1975 until his death in Salzburg. Clemens was a professor at the TH Vienna 1924-1938 and at the Akademie in Düsseldorf 1928-1932.
