Kloes, Jacobus Alida van der
J.A. van der Kloes (1845-1935)
Jacobus Alida van der Kloes was best known as an expert on building materials. During his time as director of Gemeentewerken in Dordrecht, he built the Municipal Hospital (1875), the water tower on the Wantij (1882), the office for the Municipal Service on the Voorstraat, two schools, the gymnasium, the tap building for the Liernur system, and a new painting room for the museum on the Wijnstraat.
