1910-1923 Founder and chairman of the Art Circle in Bandung and Batavia and Union of Dutch-Indian Art Circles.
1908-1914 Member of the Batavia Municipal Council. Member of the Technical Commission of the Municipality of Batavia.
1918-1922 Commissioned by the Dutch East Indies Government to restore monuments in Bali.
1928-1930 Delegate of the Government at the International Congresses of Folk Art in Prague and Antwerp.
1930 Artistic and technical leader of the Dutch entry for the International Colonial Exhibition in Antwerp.
1931 Artistic and technical leader of the Dutch entry for the International Colonial Exhibition in Paris. Designs a new exhibition building after the destruction by fire of the Dutch pavilion ( designed by W.J.G. Zweewijk).
