Schijns, Wolf H.M.*
In 1967, Wolf Schijns graduated as an architect and structural engineer from the Technical High School in Delft. He then taught architecture at the Academies of Visual Arts and Architecture in Breda, Tilburg and Amsterdam, as well as at the Technical Universities of Delft, Eindhoven and Bamako (Mali). In Eindhoven, education was assumed to be supported primarily by research. Vernacular and archaeological adobe architecture in West Africa and Egypt formed an important subject for architectural research. This resulted in a leading dissertation and edition on the authentic architecture of the Dogon in Mali.
The architectural practice was conducted together with Margriet Schijns in their studio in Breda. There they made designs and studies for various architectural, urban planning and interior design projects at home and abroad. Margriet Schijns graduated as an interior architect in 1964 from the Academy of Fine Arts St. Joost in Breda.
