J.G. Deur (1892-1964) Johann George Deur's designs included schools, homes and monasteries. Most recently he worked extensively on conservation and restoration of historic buildings, including the town halls of Gennep, and various churches (e.g. the Carolingian chapel at the Valkhof in Nijmegen; 1962) and castles in the southern and eastern Netherlands. Deur worked together with ir. O.U. Pouderoyen, including on the four apartment buildings with houses on Heidevenstraat, Koolwitjeshof, Koningsmantelhof and Pijlstaarthof in Nijmegen (1954-1956). Honors: knight order of Orange-Nassau/1962
