Johannes Leicher was deputy to the chief engineer-director of Public Housing and Construction in the province of Utrecht until 15 setember 1958;thereafter he was based in Maarssen as an independent architect. In 1999 he published "Speelreis langs de Vechtstroom van Utrecht tot Muiden" (Hoogeveen: Slingenberg).
