B. Hoogstraten (1893 - 1956)
Bart Hoogstraten worked with J.D. Postma sr. (1890-1962) from about 1918 until about 1930; he then lived at Bergschild 4, Deventer. When he died, Hoogstraten was involved as one of the architects in the construction of the town hall in Rijswijk (ZH), together with J.C. van Buijtenen; Van Buijtenen was responsible for the aesthetic side of the design and Hoogstraten for the structural engineering. The town hall would not be built until 1964-67 because of the spending restriction imposed by the government.
Note: B. Hoogstraten's oeuvre has not been (fully) inventoried; variants of his surname occur: Hoogstrate, Hoogstraaten, and the like, with or without an insert 'van'.
