B. Fokkinga (1916-1989)
Bernard Fokkinga was a pupil of M.J. Granpré Molière. During WW2 he entered the service of the municipality of Nijmegen, and in collaboration with P.A.M. Siebers and P. Verhagen made reconstruction plans for Nijmegen; together with Siebers he also made the Structural Plan 1951 for Nijmegen; and in 1956 he made the Five Hills Plan for that city. After his appointment in Rotterdam he was involved, among other things, in the design for the Schouwburgplein there on the roof of the parking garage and for the Lijnbaanplein on the spot (1968).
