Entrepreneurs in search of space, healthy air and good connections with The Hague and Rotterdam.Lots of challenging work for well-known and young architects who settle in Wassenaar in large numbers and sometimes permanently. Architect Herman van Lindonk is one of them. He settled in Wassenaar in 1920 and lived there for almost 65 years, until he died in 1984 at the age of 90. He was active as an architect for more than 50 years and left an extensive oeuvre. So large that he can be counted among the leading builders of detached and double country houses in Wassenaar. Van Lindonk as a person seems almost completely forgotten today and his work is only mentioned indirectly.
