Elling (1956-1962) and successors (1962-1998). In 1956, Elling continued the bureau. F. Fortgens was chef de bureau and K. Visser and A. van Gelderen were employed there.
The bureau was housed at 574 Keizersgracht. This building was owned by Karsten. When he sold the property, the bureau moved to Keizersgracht 277 in 1961. In 1965 the firm moved to Westeinde 12 in Amsterdam.
After Elling's death, Visser and Van Gelderen took over the agency. H.C. Hoogewoning and A. de Leeuw also worked at the bureau for a long time.
Important works were: The VARA studios in Hilversum; the Rijnhotel and the AMVJ department in Rotterdam; the pumping station in Jutphaas and Leiduin; the Secretariat building for the Royal Dutch Jaarbeurs in Utrecht. Completed after Elling's death were: the Pump Station Amstelveenseweg in Amsterdam and the music pavilion for the N.R.U. in Hilversum, and, as the crowning glory of Elling's work, the Station Station buildings in Amsterdam.
