H. Meijerink (1901-1967)
Harm Meijerink was chief engineer-director of Reconstruction and Public Housing until 1951. Meijerink attended the HBS in Zwolle and graduated in 1925 as a structural engineer from the T.H. in Delft, after which he worked at his father's architectural firm in Zwolle until 1936.
In 1951, Meijerink was appointed inspector of public housing in Zwolle. During the occupation he was temporarily acting inspector for Arnhem and De Bilt, and after the war, on Aug. 1, 1945, Mr. Meijerink was promoted to chief engineer-director of reconstruction and public housing in North Holland, where he found a broad field of work in the partially demolished coastal towns and Den Helder. On April 1, 1950, he was put in charge of urban planning affairs at the Department of Reconstruction and Public Housing, as advisor to the director general.
For his private office he had from 1950 in Zwolle J. Witpaard as an associate.
