J. Witpaard (1916-2000) Jan Witpaard, who had resigned as urban planner at the provincial planning department in Groningen, and ir H. Meijerink, former chief engineer-director of reconstruction and public housing in North Holland, founded an urban planning office in 1950, which was established in Zwolle. In this, Witpaard was more the urban planner and Meijerink the architect. Sometime in the 1960s, they parted ways and Mr. Witpaard continued on his own. In 1973 the partnership Witpaard-Partners was formed and in 1978 Witpaard withdrew. The partnership was converted into a limited liability company and it was transferred to Arcadis in 2007.
