Biographical data 1910 born in Arnhem 1925-1929 educated at Institute for Art Education Amsterdam. In 1927, 1928 and 1929 winner of the annual student competition; graduated with the mark 10 for interior design. 1929-1932 residence in Berlin (with her father). Worked in the architectural offices of A. Gellhorn and Margold (on the recommendation of E. Mendelsohn). 1932-1941 worked as a free-lance designer in Amsterdam (1932-1934, 1938-1941 Metz & Co, fa. Laimbock), Paris (1934-1936) and London (1936-1938). 1941 move to Naarden 1949-1951 study trip to India 1955-1958 employed as aesthetic architectural consultant by Van Leer's Vatenfabrieken in Amsterdam; as such involved in the realization of the new headquarters in Amstelveen (1956-1958, design M. Breuer) 1958-1967 studied South and Southeast Asian art history and archaeology at the Institute for South Asian Archaeology in Amsterdam.
