W.J. Hamdorff Jr. (1918-?) Architect Wouter Hamdorff jr. (1918-†) (call sign Jaap) was the son of the well-known architect Wouter Christiaan Hamdorff, who designed numerous country houses throughout the Netherlands and was especially active in Laren and the surrounding area. Jaap was put in charge of a second office of his father that was located in Rotterdam. In fact, Hamdorff sr. had entered into a partnership with Rotterdam architect A. Krijgsman that ended in the 1950s due to a difference of opinion on architecture. When Hamdorff sr. stopped working around 1960 due to illness, the Wouter Hamdorff B.N.A. office was continued by Jaap and Theo Rutgers, Brink 4 in Laren. The archives of Wouter Hamdorff currently contain some 42 projects attributed to Hamdorff Jr. and Rutgers. The last known work by Hamdorff jr. dates from 1965. It is not known until when Hamdorff designed or when he died.
