The unseen in architecture
Speech delivered on January 12, 1952, on the occasion of the 110th anniversary of Delft Technical College by the secretary of the senate: J.F. Berghoef. Berghoef addresses the question of whether architecture can relegate the unseen, or eternal, and how this can then express itself (for example, through beauty). He does this by placing his argument in a historical perspective and supplementing it with his own experiences.
