Article about the Kralingen Forest and Park Plan in Rotterdam. In 1920, the architects Granpré Molière, Verhagen, Kok and Klijnen published a design for a "Kralinger Hout. In February 1923, the architects were commissioned to create a new design together with the garden architect L. Springer and the Nederlandsche Heidemaatschappij. This plan was completed in 1927. Springer, however, could not agree with it; he felt that the whole thing was too focused on the urban planning aspect. The Local Works Committee shared this objection and instructed Springer to make a new plan. By order of the Board of Mayor and Aldermen, on April 16, 1929, the director of Municipal Works was instructed to draw up a revised plan.
