The main building of the municipal telephone service in Amsterdam
The telephone service building is located at Singel and Herengracht off Oude Spiegelstraat. The telephone building was designed in 1915 as a combination of central Center (Singel side) and rooms for management (Herengracht side). Gradually as the foundation was made more functions came in. The design was by Rutgers and Marnette. Hulshoff describes the problems with construction during World War I.
