Van Tijen and Van Embden sought precisely to stimulate the architectural debate, which was taking place in the Dutch architectural world around 1960, on the Campus. The discussion between the followers of Het Nieuwe Bouwen (Van Tijen) and the Forum generation was provoked by inviting the "angry young men" P.Blom, H. Haan and J. van Stigt (p. 40). About Haan, the author says: "First, Herman Haan was invited to design a complex for student housing.
