The article mentions a saga in which it is told that on Sprengenberg there used to be a church, which disappeared with tower and all into the small pond formed by wellen near the top, when the devil dared to ring the bell there. The saga foretold that a tower would rise again on the summit, from which the recovered bell would again ring its bomb over the heathland, cornfields and pine forests stretching to the horizon. To the great satisfaction of the superstitious, according to the article, this prediction was fulfilled around 1904, when Karel Muller built a hunting lodge with a tower there.
