During these years he has been credited with the construction of a large number of homes, schools, churches, office, industrial and other buildings. Several years ago he associated himself with his son, Leo de Jonge. Mr. A. Verhage, who has been associated with this architectural firm for 40 years, was awarded the medal of honor in silver, attached to the Order of Orange Nassau.
