OTYPE=R : boksjwccompleet.txt : 01190 | Date published 27-11-1965. This article by the architects of architectural firm J.W.C. Boks, W. Eijkelenboom and A. Middelhoek describes the Sociëteit Minerva they designed in Leiden. The old society had been largely destroyed by fire on December 2, 1959, and the aforementioned architectural firm was commissioned to rebuild, repair and expand the building. So it became new construction. The article describes the layout and function of the building (photo exterior, photos interior, situational drawing, floor plans, cross-sections) and in this article the authors also give a detailed description of the concrete skeleton, the construction in general and the logistical problems of the construction (situational drawing construction site with diagram crane range) in the inner city of Leiden.
