Replica of a Moroccan rug in daughter Magda's bedroom in Sonneveld House. Rectangular rug knotted in Moroccan berber technique, wool, monochromatic gray with black around and fringes in off-white. The Sonnevelds bought their rugs from Metz & Co. Bart van der Leck composed the color palette of the fabrics, including this rug. House Sonneveld was completed in 1933 and was built for the Sonneveld family after a design by the architectural firm Brinkman and Van der Vlugt. They were also responsible for the interior, working closely with W.H. Gispen.
