Boullée, Étienne-Louis
Boullée was born in 1728 and died in Paris in 1799.
He was a leading figure of the more radical form of Neo-classissism. Before beginning the study of architecture at the Paris Academy, he had taken up painting. In 1762 he became a full member of the Paris Academy where he taught until the French Revolution. Later he taught at the "École centrale du panthéon".
