Adolf (Dolf) Godron passed his architecture exam at the Academy of Fine Arts and Technical Sciences in Rotterdam in the summer of 1935. He was an associate in the office of J.J.P. Oud and a colleague of Jan Albarda, who had been a member of "The Delft Group" during his studies at TH Delft. This group of students drew attention to The New Building and in 1930 took the initiative for an international congress on New Architecture, which included a visit to the Van Nelle Factory. Godron was based in The Hague as an architect.
