't Woonhuys was a furniture factory in Amsterdam and was founded around 1907. The firm became best known for designs by the architect Michel de Klerk. The director F.J. Zeegers was impressed by the Amsterdam School and asked De Klerk to provide designs. Hildo Krop also designed furniture for 't Woonhuys. After De Klerk's death in 1923, the firm continued to produce designs by De Klerk. Little is known about the end of the firm. On the one hand, the literature states that the firm was dissolved in the 1930s, but the archives contain drawings, advertising material and administration up to about 1960.
