This book is a publication following the Doorn Lectures III and IV on the theme of "technology and architecture, held by the Genootschap Architectura et Amicitia. This volume contains summaries and lectures of the meetings held at that time. Eibink, as vice president of the Society, is partly responsible for the publication of this book. Also published is a lecture by him, "machine fabrication in architecture," which was recited at the Doorn Lecture IV.
