I. Blomhert (1879-1956) A brief biography about Iscaac Blomhert (Zaltbommel 1879 - Amsterdam, 1956) was written by his son and is kept in the management file. In 1930, he enrolled in the Netherlands Institute of Architects (NIVA). The registration form includes a recommendation from F.A. Warners. On this form there is no information about education and works and it is only written that he has been established as an architect in Amsterdam since 1920. It is known from other archives that Blomhert built a number of branches for the Incasso Bank in the 1920s and 1930s together with J. Gratama and J.W. Dinger. After World War II, the Blomhert architectural firm, along with several other firms including Z. Gulden, would produce designs for housing projects in New West. These included the Arie Keppler house Zomers Buiten in the Buiten Waalstraat, a housing project in the Wolter-Brandligtstraat and houses in the Tweede Van der Helstraat and surroundings. In addition, a housing project was realized in Wormerveer, and J.W. Dinger and Blomhert were jointly responsible for construction and multiple renovations of the Antoni van Leeuwenhoek Hospital on Sarphatistraat in Amsterdam.
