In the first half of the last century, an architecture emerged in the former Dutch East Indies about which little is known in the Netherlands and Indonesia. Many buildings still exist. Indonesia finds them beautiful. International style influences determined the design, for which Dutch architects signed. The names of over one hundred and fifty are outdated, including part of their oeuvre. This reference work provides material for the missing chapter in Dutch architectural history and gives Indonesia additional information about its buildings.
